I have been writing stories since I was a little girl growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. My baby sister provided an enthusiastic audience. Eventually my sister began to write stories. Growing up, we loved to sing and choreograph dance routines to our favorite records. These writing, singing and dancing hobbies carried into our adult lives and careers.
As our mother and grandmother before us, my sister and I enjoyed careers as teachers. This was a natural choice to express our creative interests. We both became Language Development Specialists and child advocates.
Now retired in the Bay Area, I have launched a career as an author and speaker. Many stories were inspired from my wide range of roles in life as well as in career fields. By far the most influential experiences have come from my grown son and daughter.
I draw from my decades as an elementary teacher to help others with their writing in addition to working on my own projects.
