Sometimes the mind protects us from what is too terrifying to remember.
This legal thriller begins in a small town and ends in the county criminal court system.
Living in a small, San Francisco Bay Area town with an incompetent police department, set Gia Lopez up for a harrowing experience when her family came under siege and needed law enforcement protection. Having spent much of her childhood in the Victorian mansion, Gia was determined to not allow sinister events to force her to move her family. When societal safeguards could not be relied upon, life became a solo journey of survival.
A single mom of three, Gia Lopez, awakens in the midst of a bloody crime scene but cannot remember what happened. Her four-year-old son, Danny, heard important clues as to the identity of the assailant. Although Gia was attacked, she may not be the intended target of the rage. When the police discover a rotting corpse in the marsh along the highway, Gia comes under close scrutiny in a criminal investigation.
The journey to heal her spirit, her body and her family cannot be met through traditional paths. Gia’s healing path requires thinking outside the box to implement major life changes to recover a lost piece of herself.
